Hi guys

I'm helping my GF to build a new system. I've lost touch with what's the bang-for-buck buys currently. Would like your kind recommendations please :)

Her requirements:

1) Surf net, simple office work (spreadsheet, words etc), watch movies.

2) Room for upgrades to (maybe) convert it to video editing machine. However, not any time soon or for at least 1 year. Was thinking maybe add ram / upgrade GFX card / change CPU when the need for vid editing arises.

3) Non-gaming system. Cheap n good value is the goal :p
Budget $800. Lesser = better haha.

4) Wi-Fi connectivity. Either build into mobo or buy card / dongle?

Was thinking of getting a smallish SSD for OS, then add 1 HDD for storage. Any models to suggest?

Clueless about mobo, CPU, RAM choice.

I recall reading somewhere about new Intel CPU chips with integrated gfx? Should I go for that option and thus save $ by not needing a GFX card?

For casing, she stumbled and really digging the Xigmatek Nebula C. However, couldn't spot it on the SLS price list. Also, this will mean restricting mobo choice to mITX. Not sure if it's a wise choice?

I'm planning to hoot on 11/11 sale if there are any gd buys. No hurry, so can wait further for Black Friday?

Will assemble everything myself.

Thank you all! :)

Thanks DawnsTear :)

May I know why the choice for H110 chipset?

Also, 1600mhz ram vs 1800... not worth paying the difference since she's not gaming ya? Just the basic Kingston Value Rams would suffice?

Have decided to fix CPU as i3 6100.

Should I top up and get DDR4? Saw that Skylake benefits from faster RAMS. G.Skill DDR4 2400Mhz CL15 8gb $82.
