iPhone 6 line won’t get much support alr, plus the performance alr getting bad.

The bare minimum is iPhone 6S line tbh, only 6S/6S Plus/SE and higher can run iOS 11 with decent performance.

If you're in need of a headphone jack, go for the iPhone 6.

Honestly, it's not bad if you stick with the older iOS versions (8-9).

Any "older" device running on a new iOS (11) will definitely face issues. The hardware is "old" and the software is "new". It doesn't work well like that in any system.

It's like using a old Windows XP desktop and hoping to run the latest 1080p/4k games on that old piece of hardware.

Absurd.

Can consider the 6S plus 32gb. Fairly reasonably priced. For $200 more you would probably be able to get a 7 or 8. :)
