before you go into stocks, you must ask yourself whether you can stomach any losses and at what amount. if you feel you will commit suicide at $100-200 loss then i suggest you put the money in the bank.

I'm gonna be 18 in a few months. So is emergency funds required? :s13:
Emergency funds is of course require. What if you throw all your whatever available funds into stock then nothing is left ? How are you going to have expenses for your day-in day-out ?

TS, I suggest that you do some read up first before jumping in. From the posts in this sub-forum, you can see many of us here have different styles of investments, so if asking for advice you will get tons of opposing views.

Invest in yourself first. Get a good education, find a stable job and earn a good income. You can think about investing after you achieved all these.

I teach people for fees. If there's direct Qn, then easier to answer here. That will be available for free.

From your Qn, none of us can help you with that.

I think TS want to find out the cheat sheet to make money and how many ferraris and condos "block purchase" or even which Football club to buy already.

I think TS is so swamped that he doesn't even really know what he wants to know.

I suggest going to the library, get a beginner or dummy's guide to investing. Then come here to ask questions on what you don't understand.
