The new boss is hard working often work long hours, naturally expect similar. This is to weeds out the lazys and incompetents kept by the original owner.

Now all the workers that worked 80 hours per week all along can finally worked in peace. Remembered when I was working 80 hours per week, and all the toxic middle management do was play dirty politics and creates less benefits for the company and clients all for their own interests.

Imagine alot of ur colleagues resign, many new hired join & dunno how to do 😂
overall productivity decreased

Not a problem if the productivity wasn't there in the first place for overpaid employees.

It save mgmt the hassle of retrenching overpaid high salaried staff in USA (not like Singapore so easy hor).

and mgmt can bring in cheaper more capable staff .

You must remember.. most staff are cheapest when they are fresh and young...
and as they progress older, their responsibility and scope didn't change much but their salary keep increasing.

that is why companies like to take economic downturns or crisis as an opportunity to retrench.
you wont get so much flak as compared to when you retrench during economic boom times.

all these staffs who left and put twitter on their CVs is going to face distain from potential employers as everyone knows they are quitters and shun the hardwork now

Only if they apply for positions in Singapore ba.... don't think it is going to affect them other places

In fact they might actually gain some fame for standing up against Elon musk... Which may instead make them stands out more to hirers

Anyway, got real skillsets and network, they can easily find other jobs. Unless they also fake talents la

Looks like the twitter gonna die soon. This episode and Elon not having the time for Tesla might badly affect Tesla. Think Elon is much of a slave driver. But I'm still not sure if I should sell my Tesla shares...

Ironically, when something like this happens, it's those who are capable that will leave because these chaps can find another job easily.

"On Thursday evening, the version of the Twitter app used by employees began slowing down, according to one source familiar with the matter, who estimated that the public version of Twitter was at risk of breaking during the night."

Wah.. Don't know if it's the site that's unstable despite being worked on for so many years, or it's because of Musk who's turning off all the microservices which he thinks are non-essential.
