Thanks!
I think I will get

Msi b85m g43 + G3220 ~ $ 195
Adata 1600mhz 4gb ~ $ 43
Silicon v60 250gb ~ $ 228
Cm311 chassis + FSP 500w ~ $105
Windows 7 home premium 64bit ~ $ 115
Samsung odd ~ $ 21

Total ~ $707 buy at tradepac diy.

What is the onboard GPU on the G3220?
HD2500? HD4000?

Ivy bridge i3-3220 CPU is not compatible with Haswell B85 mobo. And i3-3220 igpu is HD2500.

I would say if it is for work purposes, it is worth to get the G3220 Haswell series.

in fact with a look in price list, can see that the i3 haswell with a Basic entry level mobo also value for money. :)

Cheap mobo is alright as long as it not some down right crap brand like biostar. Asrock is great!

I'm quite keen to lean against ASrock also however I'm still an Asus guy for now.... perhaps my next PC which I'm getting in 2 weeks time (for my brother) I'll build using ASrock.... their top end also cheaper too!.

I've been a asrock user for 10 years. No issues leh! Hahaha!
Asus if for gaming purposes I would go for the sabertooth! The armor thingy looks pretty sweet! *bling bling*
