Hello guys, I have done my minimal research and it seems that the minimum to open a trading account is 18 years old, is that true?

To start off, all of you trade via the SGX website right? Correct me if I am wrong.

Normally what do you guys buy? Stock? Bonds?

How do you receive dividend yield by companies? Are they like interest, issued to you at the end of the year?

How do you guys 'analyse' which stock is good and how do you determine when to sell them?

Thanks in advance

You need a CDP account to hold your script and broker account to buy and sell. You can approach a brokerage house to setup everything and link to your bank account.

Anything that is traded in SGX. I personally holds stock and Singapore Savings bond.

Once your CDP is link your bank account, the dividend will credit to your bank account. It depends on the policy of the company, it can quarterly, semi-annual and yearly dividend payout.

How do you guys 'analyse' which stock is good and how do you determine when to sell them?
This is a hard one. One can analyze a stock with Fundamental Analysis(FA) and Technical Analysis(TA). Need some FA and TA tools for that. What and when to buy and sell are equally important questions. I guess that comes with experience. Sometimes ones get it right and sometimes ones get it wrong. Hopefully, more right than wrong. :o

There is cdp for local stocks and custodian for overseas stocks. Both for holding your shares.

Personally I have US and SG stocks using various brokerages.
Dividends is auto transferred to your accounts, which ever is linked to the brokerage.
These are just paper work handled by the brokerage. Basically, go and open a trading account and they will guide you along.
