Newbie's Mining Rig Issues

Hi,

I am setting up my rig for mining and it keeps restarting on its own after maybe 2 minutes of running nicehash. There is no BSOD.

My hardware are as follows:

1) asrock h110 pro btc + Intel G4400 + 8GB RAM
2) Silverstone 1200W Strider Platinum
3) 120GB SSD running Windows 10 Home x64
4) Palit GTX 1070 Ti

If I am doing normal Windows stuff, it works fine. But when I am running nicehash, it reboots. Benchmarking on nicehash also restarts. Other mining sw like Xmrig oso restarts.

I have another Palit GTX 1070 SuperJetStream but it does not get detected as a 2nd GPU. If I am using it as a single GPU n running nicehash, the PC oso restarts after < 2 mins.

Any mining guru can advise me on how to solve my issues?

Run furmark and unigen to test your GPU. Seems like driver crashed.

restart w/o bsod... cpu overtemp? u can monitor cpu temp to cfm
i see screenshots of nicehash, u can untick cpu to only use gpu for mining (if i understand correctly)....is urs unticked?

I’m using only gpu to mine. Hve updated to the latest drivers.

FIrstly, please isolate GPU issues
If you bought your GFX cards 2nd hand, especially 1070 / RX580s, please test thoroughly to rule out GPU issues. GPUs used for Mining are sold off more for instability, and less for obsolesence, if they are still current. They can cause weirdo problems. had a ball of a time testing and RMAing cards used for mining....

If you can rule out GPU hardware defects, run it at stock, latest drivers, no OC for testing
Also test using the PCIE slots on the mobo instead of riser extenders

Use MSI Afterburner to check the temperatures.

Ok. Hve bought another Corsair PSU to test n it works fine. No reboots even with multiple gpus. So i think that Silverstone psu that i juz bought 5 days ago is crocked...
