I was joint owner with my parent and my CPF was used to pay the HDB housing loan.

When I transferred my ownership to my sibling, HDB explained that "As it is a transfer of flat to family member, only the principal amount was required to be refunded to your CPF account."

"..... only the principal amount withdrawn by you for the flat was refunded to your Ordinary Account."

This news is irrelevant to majority of us. Most of us do not get involved in such a complicated situation.
