Originally, it was 2940 JPY one way on the Narita N'Ex to Tokyo (3110 to Shinjuku) before they introduced the 1500 JPY one way ticket . (And before they introduced this 1500 JPY offer for tourists, there was a 3500 JPY N'Ex plus Suica deal.) Local Japanese buying one way ticket off the counter still pays 2940 JPY.

If your hotel is at Shinjuku, Shibuya, Shinagawa or Ikebukuro, I suggest you just take the N'Ex. Taking the Keisei means another change at Nippori or Ueno, and you still have to pay for either a metro ticket or another JR ticket.

To really save money, take the Sobu line. You can see real Japanese squeezing on the train with you. Hope you are not carrying too much luggage for this.

Shucks. If I need to take one way, what's the best option now? I only need single trip since my ticket is open jaw so I won't be going back to narita.

I am staying in Shinjuku too, and planning to take the limo bus. From the limo bus details, it will take ard 1hr 30min to Shinjuku (one of the hotels), and the price is $3100 one way ($4500 2-ways).

there's pros and cons. if you choose to take keisei main line/airport 特急 that cost about 1000yen each way, there's no place for you to store your luggage. you have to be holding your luggage all the way, worse if the train is crowded.

really depends on your arrival and departure timings.
next will be your personal preferences as to whether will you be able to accept being squeeze together with your luggage.

if you arrive during on/off peak office hours, i advised to take limo bus or narita express. if your time do not fall within tokyo crazy hours, any methods are fine. i have tried limo to tcat and change to jr etc plus many other combinations and i find it pretty fun.

i usually do not bother much on the time needed for the travelling as 45-60 mins minimal is pretty normal for japan if you look at distance between 2 points. i would say it pretty fast if you compare it against sg.

i believe our transportation and traffic infra have already failed thus more time will b needed in sg for the same amount of distance at most times especially.

14 days validity for the new round trip NEX pass

Hi everyone, if I go for 16 days, would it mean that I cannot take the round trip NEX express train?
