Good day!

I'm getting the pc game fallout 4 in these few days, and I thought of installing an SSD which might help reduce loading time;

but then, as i did a bit of research, i realized that my mobo has only SATA II slots; would it make sense to install an SSD? just so that i can play FO4 with less pek chek... would it make a worthwhile upgrade?

i'm looking into samsung 850 evo, well, mostly because of brand name, and that 5-year warranty :D

and then maybe to get a new graphic cards... i think my card is on the lower side of min requirement for FO4 :slant: what do you think?

and other than ssd, would it be good idea to get another 8gb ram?

specs:
Intel Core i5 3470
Asus H61M-A USB 3.0
1 x 8 GB DDR3 Ram (value ram)
1 TB Toshiba HDD
Power colour HD7850 2gb Graphics Card

please comment! thanks

Even with sata ii, your SSD read/write can reach 280mb/s which is much faster than mechanical HDDs.

don't need another 8gb of ram(for now), get a better gpu and an ssd. dont worry about sata 2 and 3, ssd will still be faster than hdd. what's your budget?

All you need now is upgrading your graphic card. Adding extra ram won't help at all.

you would be well served with a GPU upgrade I guess

SSD helps boot times, but not so much on game loading times
