Strange thing is my this Singtel NFC SIM can only be detected on my OnePlus phone, one day I switched this SIM card to a Samsung dual SIM phone (one of the ezlink listed compatible phone), but it can't detect the NFC SIM at all.

Yes, Samsung is more common to have this issue. Both my bro and my phone is Samsung.

I would recommend that use up all your ezlink credit in the NFC sim then head over to any singtel kiosk to get it change for free. If this is your first time, you can just use the kiosk outside Singtel shop to get it change instantly.

No wonder, change mine last month due to similar problem , I thought is sim card faulty. In fact I change twice already, the first being early last year.

Thks for sharing.

Yeap, when we went to change, there is still stock for NFC sim but the CSO recommend us to use back normal sim as the NFC sim confirm will fail again in months.

No $ in my NFC SIM, I don't know how to top up now, Singtel Dash can't top up (are there any way to add $ to NFC SIM?)

You can use any top-up kiosk, ezlink app to do top up.

Since no $ in your NFC sim, I suggest you better to change to normal Sim to avoid any trouble later on.

For dual SIM phone the NFC SIM card must be in slot-1 to be able to work.

Had tried on Samsung S7 Edge where i put the NFC SIM card in slot-1 then able to detect.
Somemore my NFC SIM card with SH mobile line number is already terminated and still able to make use of this NFC SIM for transportation &or other usage.

Thanks.

The top up via kiosk, app never works on my OnePlus phone. And my another Samsung phone can't detect the SIM card even on slot 1. (OnePlus at least can detect the card).

Anyway, get it replaced yesterday at Singtel.

And since the new Simply Go is launched, which is supposed to work on normal SIM with NFC enabled phone, don't think we even need the NFC SIM card.

Sorry to dig up old post. With the NFC SIM, I can't use Google pay or Dash Visa to pay for the MRT/Bus, as the gantry will always try to deduct money from my NFC ezlink SIM card.

Is there a way to disable the ezlink part of the SIM card? I called ezlink and they said need to go telco to get a new SIM card.. I was like: what??!!

You cannot disable the NFC part of your SIM card. Just get a replacement SIM card.

Exactly.. SimplyGo is super convenient.

Thanks.

actually not true.. my StarHub Sim is still the NFC Sim and now with SimplyGo I still can switch between the option to use NFC ezlink or direct bank card debit via SimplyGo..

in fact if you are using Samsung phone, Samsung pay will provide your step by step on screen guide on how to switch it + link you to the NFC setting screen to select the correct detection mode.

the default transport card payment mode will automatically switched between nfc sim and SimplyGo when you toggle between SE SIM card and Android Operating System.

I have the first generation of NFC SIM from Starhub which cannot use for transit payment. However, it will conflict with those Contactless payment terminals for paywave or MRTt/bus for MasterCard payment..

I moved the Sim card to phone Sim slot 2 to avoid the Contactless terminals to detect NFC SIM signal.

mobile payments like samsung/google pay are device dependent, not sim card dependent leh. you plug in any sim card with internet access can use already, since the tokenisation requires internet access to generate.
