Anyone heard of this university? I'm going to ORD next year May, still haven't got a seat in any universities yet.

Currently looking at the Bachelor of Commerce programme. Quite interested because its possible to skip 12 courses with a polytechnic business diploma. A degree in a year sounds pretty good.

Any comments/reviews ?

Admission criteria on the site states, "Students applying for this program must hold a School of Business Diploma or equivalent from a recognised polytechnic institution." Not sure if GPA is of an issue.

Based on the Trimester 3 timetable I saw, it seems to be quite an intensive course, Mon - Fri/Sat lecture and tutorials everyday. No wonder its possible to cram everything in 12 months.

Any students from this school care to share their experiences?

since this is a DL degree, not sure if they will take ppl with GPA 2.0 and still give 12 classes off.

there is a thread on Ngee Ann - Adelaide University but its is mainly IT programs. seem like even with exemptions they still need to take prep classes.

Hmm.. How does Ngee Ann - Adelaide uni compare with SIM, e.g. UOL, in terms of recognition in the working world?

UOL has 19 school. For Unisim and UOL collaboration, which school is printed on the cert? University of London international program or university of London?

Of course if they print King's college, University College of London or London school of economics and political science etc.ll, then it is more prestige. If graduated from SIM, University of London, I doubt it is = graduating from LSE

We should compare SIM vs Ngee-Ann Kongsi and UOL/RMIT vs Uni of Adelaide

SIM and NgeeAnn Kongsi are facilitators and if you compare with their facilities, definately SIM have a wider facilities support compare with NgeeAnn Kongsi.

While for UOL, RMIT and Uni of Adelaide, it is more likely to compare with their university ranking. UOL > Adelaide > RMIT (QS Word ranking 2013)

Which university of London is that? There are Queen Mary University of London, Royal Holloway, University of London. Are they issuing the cert for SIM?

htngwilliam, your queries can all be answered by googling.

UOL has on campus and external system, they differentiate them clearly, market them separately and many employers worldwide know of the external system too. external progs are developed by the respective colleges and the degrees are awarded by UOL. technically, external system grads are grads of UOL too but most employers know how to differentiate on campus and external system i think. some hv called the UOL external system the most popular DL degrees internationally. hard to pass off as an on campus UOL grad if you are from the external system cos many worldwide know of the external system.
