佘雪玲昨天接受《新明日报》记者专访时，也表示新加坡选民，比大家想象中更聪明、成熟和更懂得作判断。

“他们不会被一张漂亮的脸孔欺骗。说到政治这么严肃的课题时，选民要的是一个能起影响作用、一个能引起共鸣和一个会为他们说话及争取利益的代表。说实话，如果一个人只有一张漂亮的脸孔，没有实质，这很容易就会展露出来。”

佘雪玲在1个多小时的访问里谈到，如果没有“料”，就不会受到人们认真看待，尤其当她年轻，而且是女生。

“人们或许会问，政治像是大男人的游戏，为什么要支持一名24岁女子呢？因此，他们对我的信任，代表在他们眼里，我的很多说话和观点，都还有他们在一名公共人物身上希望看到的实质。”

这么说来，佘雪玲绝对不是bimbo（指样貌漂亮，头脑简单）了？她投以不屑的眼光笑着反问：“你觉得呢？”

佘雪玲至今想不通怎会成焦点；自称臭脸，谨言慎行；男友不介意粉丝包围她。
