It is controversial when people want to make it controversial.

It could have been handled better by having the fund donated directly to the NSP instead of a new personal bank account.

But this does not mean there are ill-intentions, unlike smearing which is ill-intended.

yea its kinda true abt this $$$ issue because i think they want NRIC to prove its fund by locals n not overseas people. which is kinda true too. why should outsiders be involved with our politics.

but she used her Personal acc... hmm maybe desperate time.. but that shows how difficult opposition get $ support or how they do things at the last min. most often i think its not from own pocket but donations. u dont see this kind of thing with WP right? but they earn from umbrella etc hehehe still innovative idea. anyway she said she will let people see the acc right? so just let her sort out the expenses first. furthermore, those that r complaining... how many r those that donated?

Already said liao, if use NSP account, and if the donation come from illegal sources whether intentional sabotage or unintentional, will be troublesome. There are other arrangements she might had considered but the costs involved would take up too much a percentage of that $35K.

Importantly, she stated very clearly it was a personal account, anybody donating can weigh the risks that she might run away with it so it's not a scam.

Again, ultimately proof is when she publishes the account or not.

Cannot be so difficult to filter right? Then how did NSP recieve their political donations all along? Also thru personal bank accounts? Besides, if in the end is proven to be non-compliant donation into party accounts, can always donate the proceeds to charity.

NSP is nicole seah party. I think for most people, mention NSP and the only candidate that pops up in the mind is Nicole. She has grown bigger than the party and there's nothing GMS can do about it? If he even trys, Nicole would probably hop over to another party, and seriously, which opp party don't want such a popular figure?
