Nikon D600

The new full frame Nikon D600 has just been announched a few hours ago.
Will you buy it ?

I am disappointed when the released price is US$2100, when so much rumours said that it is around US$1500. Let's see the released price in Singapore. Otherwise will have to stick to buying the Nikon D7000.

I might just be tempted enough to upgrade from d7000 to d600 since I got quite a few dx lens

Slightly disappointed with the price, thought it will be around $2.5k, turns out its $3249 retail price i think. Will probably hold out to see if the price will drop after awhile.

Weighing my options as well. Im looking at the D600, used D700, used D300s. Got my hands on the D7000, and i dont find the image quality much better (if it is even) than a D300.

I'm a d7000 user so all my lens are dx. Didn't buy any fx yet.

well it lets me slowly build up FX lens.

It's not easy to part such sum of money at one go (getting both body and a nice fx lens)

So the option is to get the body first, use the dx in the meantime and save up for fx lens.

although u can also argue that I can buy fx lens first and use on my d7000 and subsequently buy the d600 when price dips. :

D7000 --> D600 not much of an 'upgrade'.

How does Nikon derives to the price of S$3249 in Singapore, when the US selling at US$2100 ? Even with the GST, should cost about S$2800.

Shipping fee, but it is Thai made. Storage fee, should be similar.
Anyway hope the price comes down very soon, waiting for the street price.

I didn't have a DSLR, used to play with film, so the urge with FX. Of course they are different game.

i would love to buy if i had the $$ .. just got my d7k this year and my lenses are all DX except 2lenses frm film slr...hence .. if i were to buy.. it'd be a big investment

I found new D600 BO in peninsula, they sell S$2850 inc GST
