NiMh battery pack for RC

Have gotten those China made RC car that comes with 3AA battery pack (I believe is 3.6V with ~750mah). Anyone knows where can get a replacement locally? Possible to DIY without soldering? Have seen online there are some battery holder just afraid might not fit into the battery compartment.
