The non-gaming public might not understand the difference. Just like Wii was a blockbuster hit but the Wii U was perceived as an accessory to the Wii so hardly anybody bought it. Similarly, Switch oredi released Switch Lite and Switch OLED so to the casual browser it would just look like an XL sized Switch.

There are people who play games and there are people who do not play games. I've been playing console games from over 40 years ago on the Atari 2600 to the PS5 today in my retirement.

I have the Switch, Switch Lite and planning to get the Switch 2. I also game with my PC's 3090.

Till now, I still don't know how to explain to non-gamers why gaming is enjoyable. If you like it, you like it. If you don't... Then you don't.

At least try it first and give it a chance.

I cannot stand those who says how old liao still play games, I think their head got problem with this kind of mentality. Nowsadays after the mobile boom, majority of young and old are playing some sort of games on their mobile.

Mine is first gen and lite. I did not bother to get the OLED because I usually play on the TV.

I no longer play on the lite after a short while because I developed presbyopia a few years ago.

Already owned a gen 2 switch and bought a red Mario OLED switch in 2023 coz I love the colour red .
I will wait and see .

For those who don't have a switch and would like to get one . It is good to hold on the purchase of switch and should buy a switch 2.

So, you prefer instant gratification, like watching short videos, rather than diving into a longer, deep storyline like a movie? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that—everyone enjoys different things!

I play Fortnite and used to spend a lot of time on different multiplayer skirmish games like CS, Unreal, Quake, Halo, and more. I’ve also enjoyed other online games like Diablo, Warcraft, and MapleStory.

That said, I appreciate the craftsmanship behind solo games too, both on PC and consoles. After all, I grew up in an era well before the internet was even publicly available, during a time when consoles were way more advanced than PCs in the gaming field.

Not like I don't play PC games either. I literally have over a thousand PC games on the backlog.

I also have:
Playstation Plus - 539
A dozen Switch games too....

Life is too damn short LOL.
