Cannot, they lock down already. Only SG eshop can accept SG debit/credit card.
That is correct, and same with other countries: You cannot buy ie US content on the US store with a non-US card.

For Paypal, same pattern.

One workaround: Some online stores sell foreign gift cards for Switch, PS5 etc that you can buy in SGD and then redeem in the respective store.

The cheapest the Switch 2 ever got locally was $49x without MKW bundle back during 2025 12/12 sales.

I wanted to buy a PS5 too, but with the prices now, forget it. I can understand the SW2 is a new platform and may experience a price hike. The PS5 is an aging platform and I cant justify the price hike.

Price increase nothing surprising, it was only a matter of time since the ram/flash crsis still hasn't abated yet. That's why I was telling those waiting for a "better" deal to buy now because only price increases were coming, not better deals.

Worse still, I don't think this will be the final increase. I could see it increasing to 600 USD in a year or so if the crisis still hasn't ended by then.

Still dirt cheap compare to steam deck price increase of more than $200-$300. Switch 2 is now the cheapest handheld console after the steam deck price increase.
