Just bought a switch from lazada. To double confirm, we cannot use any 3rd party powerbank to charge it while outside right? If not it will brick the whole switch?

I think third party powerbank or charger ok but not third party dock.

Any recommendation for joycon charging dock? I have 2 sets of joycon and possibly pro controller.

What about extension cable to connect to original dock without docking it? Well this brick with 5.0 firmware?

I am using it for awhile . No issue because it act like an power extension cord, you extend your dock type c connection. This is a solution to those who like to put on any grip but have to face issue removing it when want to dock their switch. U still need the original dock and hdmi display output.

Wrong info la. Power bank can work . Just need a good standard to match the switch. Zmi power delivery power bank can output 40 watts which is the same voltage as powering up the switch dock. Meaning your switch is use to being charge at 40 watt.. get something near that calibre of power bank if you want to play safe. Match it with a rav cable that is 56 ohm resistor or u can use the stock one

If I buy games from different eshops (ie: Canada & US). Do I need to change my nintendo account to the respective country eshop each time I want to redownload my purchased games?

Yes. You need to do that. Just 2 weeks back I change to mexico eshop.. my credit card pass through purchase but card is subsequently blocked by standard chartered bank.. They thought fraudulent purchase.

Thought powerbank should be ok.. though I'm still using my COOV SH500 for tV output.. taking a risk but seems still working fine.

U need to hold longer the power button longer for about 10 secs.

up to you . just hold it there lor cuz it will turn off even in dock mode or you can hold 3 sec and a window will pop up , then proceed to select power off

usually turn off when i do not need the switch for long hours.. as standby mode still eat battery life.. only when it is dock then won't deplete battery life

Did your bank block your credit card? Now they sense multiple oversea transaction will block first, then need you to call them to verify. Check your bank sms

No sms from Bank. No multiple overseas transaction since I went to South Africa eshop 1st. Also tried with 3 different credit card. Or is it SA eshop can only use debit card and not credit card? Saw from Reddit that those peeps that was able to process were using debit card...

SG credit cards can't be used in South Africa eshop. I tried US debit card also cannot. Most of the success reports are from Europe.

Russia and Mexico with Paypal are fine though.

Cables? Think they are from my nintendo switch pro controller.

Took out, charged then put back inside box, waiting for casing and screen protector.

For families buying a second Switch, Nintendo has a new package that does not include the dock, AC adapter etc. Cheaper by 5000 Yen.
