I am currently in Japan , and is considering to buy a switch from here.

One thing I am worried about is the local warranty, as I won't be covered in Singapore for the imported Switch.

My question is, if I import from Japan, and then there are defects. Will Maxsoft refuse the repair, even if I am willing to pay for the cost?

Don't think so. You're on your own. If the pricing is not much cheaper, why get it elsewhere anyway?

Buy local if you’re afraid.

Just like you don’t buy online if you’re afraid.

Go with your heart and don’t regret.

That is a bit absurd... They won't even repair if I pay myself? :s22:

well the cost is S$ 360, roughly ~70sgd cheaper compared to the online price of S$ 429. Now to think if it is worth it...

Wait for 12.12 sale on Shopee. Most likely will have flash sales or coupon codes to use that will bring it close to $360. And now there is the shopee shake event everyday till 12.12 so shake for more coins to reduce the price even further.

Edit: There is a flash sale tonight at 12am here https://shopee.sg/flash_deals?promotionId=2000012465

Btw guys if buying items in qoo10 worth > $100 at checkout (after all the vouchers/coupon) you can buy yourself a gift card ($98 for $100 value/2% off). redeem your gift card as q-money, then use it at check out. Can buy gift card using credit card to earn your cashback still. I'm not sure is there a limit for amount of gift card one can redeem, read somewhere there is. i managed to purchase + redeem 4x$100 at one shot.

On qoo10, local sets cost around $400 after $50 coupon and with ready stock you can opt for self collection or home delivery which usually wont take more than 1 week. For export set, the cheapest on qoo10 costs $365 after coupon, but according to the listing, ETA ship date is end December. $35 savings but no local warranty and have to wait around 1 month for delivery = not worth.
