I just bought a Switch from challenger today..mario odyssey bundle...bought a few games as well...
Set up everything ok...was using it on portable mode...i tried going into the E-shop and the whole thing hanged...had to hard reset (hold down power button)
Then tried updating firmware to 4.01..it worked but e-shop still hanged.
Tried playing my games...downloaded game data and could load but the following happened...
1) Loaded Mario Odyssey, hanged on the cg scene at the start with bowser.
2) Loaded Mario kart 8, hanged at the start screen
3) Street fighter, showed error message.
4) Training instruction video at settings hanged too.
Tried factory reset and loading but the same errors occur.
Is my unit screwed? Any advice on what to do? Does maxsoft do the exchange or Challenger if its a unit defect?

Your one might be a lemon set don't bother go to maxsoft seen is under 7 days one to one exchange policy in singapore,just go back to challenger tell them the problem show them, and go for one to one exchange if cannot exchange ask for full refund if both cannot ask to talk higher ranking staff shop manager or operation manager.
No matter what they should either exchange you a new set or full refund

Its lemon law, they have to abide by itHmmm not sure if they do one to one exchange of gaming consoles though...Will still give it a try later...problem is if they don't then will have to head down to maxsoft to get it changed and they only open at office hours ....![]()

Since on topic of warrenty, my set was bought in hokaido Japan BIC. so warrenty i would have to bring it back to Japan right?
