does your monitor have any sound output? if not you will have to have a hdmi audio extractor. You are using hdmi cable to connect to monitor right?

its a dell u2414h. have sound but dont like. yup, the dock's hdmi cable. was hoping to output to external speaker if possible. any methods?

switch headphone jack to aux or rca input on your sound system

Alternatively, u can try have multiple accounts. I've a Canada, Japan and Africa account. Just find it easier to shop and then just play through main account. Depends on whichever way u prefer..

I feel you cause im in the same situation as well. Export set no warranty but so much cheaper and not bundled with games , we can slowly buy games that we want when there are gd deals. Local set has one yr warranty but Most prob one or two games or freebies that came with the bundle are not what we wanted.

yes. the account you create need to be another country. US canada mexico for example instead of singapore

For those looking at Coov docks, I have the SH350 and am happy with it. The SH500 will be slightly more limiting if you have a casing for your Switch, since you need to remove casing to dock it. The SH350 will just fit in the USB-C connector but you will either have to lay your Switch flat, or elevate it via a stand.

For those of you raving about the Hori stand, I don't understand: what's the difference between the Hori and this $4 XND stand from TB? Why is everybody looking for Hori stand instead of this? It's solid and holds my Switch well. =p

I noticed some owners modify their docks using either cloth, felt or duck tape on all 4 sides of the dock along with tempered glass on switch.

Tempered glass protects the screen so it’s necessary but are the other mods needed to prevent scratches on the back or does it make it worst since it’s tighter and traps dust more easily? Example of scratch - https://imgur.com/a/ZPpbe

u can get a plastic protector for the back and joycons. im using this for my switch now. dust will get trapped in between the cover and console but not prone to scratches.

coz hori got reputation, they have been making gaming accessories since 16bit era. think the stand will not as durable after long periods of usage.

another solution will be as below, making use of hdmi usb c adapter to output switch to TV. Im using this right now and works pretty well. No dock is required which will cause scratches and bending on switch.

Any usb c to hdmi adaptor work? I am currently using one for my laptop to display on my tv
Or only specific ones works like coov and the one that u show?

u can try ur device at ur own risk but i dun think it will spoil the switch. it should minimally has a usb c input to provide power to the switch.
