i have an original Switch purchased on Day 1 in SG. due to family and friends using it over the past months / year (kids drop the controller etc), I feel one of the original joy-con (over-time) has connectivity issues. The Pro controllers i feel has stronger or better connectivity.

And given our crappy warranty in SG, it's pointless to go find the local disti who overcharges us all. (Support import set better)

If only for yourself then is fine, but even then i feel a full controller is better than additional joy-cons.

if u want to expand your controllers so that more people can play, then yeah joy-cons are the best bang-for-buck.

BTW u can try play-asia as well. Their pricing can be competitive or the local trade apps like qoo10, carousell or shoppee. prices are more or less around that range.

Local Joy-cons warranty is 3 months only by Maxsoft. After that they say wear and tear, no warranty.

1st batch Switches have the left joy-con connectivity issue. The fix is very simple, just add an anti static foam into the joy con and connectivity will be strong like crazy.

Mine was affected by this as well and I've done the fix myself. Really easy to do, just that you have to get the right foam. The foam normally ships with electronics. Hope this helps.

Pros of SH350 will be that you don't have to remove casing / covers when docking, but you will also either 1) lay it flat on the surface on the dock mode or 2) use a stand to hold the switch when docking.
Another pro will be that it's easy for travelling around with. Pretty small, easy to pack.

SH500 will be useful as a home dock that takes up less space. If you have a casing on your Switch, then it may not dock without removing it.

I own the SH350. SH500 came out after I bought but I have the DIY dock that is similar to the SH500.
I don't use my DIY dock much cos I have a crystal case on my Switch and I'm too lazy to remove it just to dock. :D

I have both,
SH350 is more portable.

Sh500 i use it as a spare dock. Its quite filmsy because it is so small, the switch is only supported in the middle and mine is tilting to one side after docking

This I fully agree. When I had some issues with the dock, a simple chat with amazon CSO ended up with them requesting me to send back the whole thing to them. I was even reinbursed with the full return shipping fees.
And before they even received the set I returned, they shipped out a new set to me already via express shipping and it arrived within 5 days.

I’m not sure what would be the procedures with maxsoft and how hassle-free it will be.
But I’m really pleased with amazon.

I’m pretty disappointed by this qoo10 service to be honest. Background story I ordered like a lot Bros did here on 17th, received a shipping schedule to be 28th dec 2017, on 29th still no news so I bombard their qna which they persistently cut and paste replies on shipping next week etc etc.

I’ve decided since im waiting I might as well opt and pay for fedex so they gave me a link to pay for the express shipping. So now I have 2 items of which the later is just payment for shipment . Guess what ? The updated the shipping of my payment to 10th Jan and ending of the day I still didn’t receive any shipment details. This morning I received item shipped out but no tracking info so I check and they mentioned I paid for express shipping unfortunately it wasn’t shipped out which will ship out which the generic replies again !!!!! How can u update the shipping to shipped then reply my queries with it’s not shipped ?!!!

Seriously!!!! Waiting is one thing .. promises are the other .

Worth the wait and much cheaper after qoo10 disc

I noted that download games online more expensive? But a premium to pay for instant gratification

I got the idea to pay for fedex too, but is like after waiting for so long, since they dun have stock, then I will just wait for it lo.... really dunno when they will ship out? Is like almost one month liao. Really out of stock in Korea? I tot only Japan will out of stock?

To me I just felt since Waited so long if I know the order gonna be shipped out I wanna get it fast instead of waiting for the delivery again. But o well, honestly I just think they should stick to order number I’m v sure the group order I was first 50 into the count but people who ordered later have received it. Lesson learnt if there’s no available stock just don’t order it’s really mind wrenching esp if it’s meant for a gift...
