I am using SX OS and got banned. My cousin as well. Be warned.

How did you guys use the sx os until kena ban? Play online or use devmenu etc? Can share more?

For now still prefer play with physical ha3. Already got Mario and Zelda, but the switch est reach tomorrow. Can't wait to play

Ban means cannot play online with your games anymore, cannot access eshop from your switch. Yes still can play offline but those online multiplayer game you won'the be able to play liao

Accessories bricking is unless u are using 3Rd party portable dock that give your switch power issue. I using a portable dock too but I use the switch original power supply to power it.

On the other hand.. attempt to play pirate games and at the same time trying to access online will get you a ban by Nintendo.

Yup, thats what i am being inform. Only play offline games if want to use the dongle. But still kind of risky to got Banned.

So for portable dock. As long as using original power adapter no issue?

Need to buy those thin plastic casing that specifically says can dock, might be a bit tighter.

Else buy USB C Extender then no need to dock, connect with USB C.

Bro, can share the USB C extender that you are using now? Where did you get it from?

No. Power adapter, regardless original or not, is just transforming AC electric current from the wall socket into DC current used by electronic devices. The Switch bricking issue has nothing to do with the DC current coming in.

The root cause is that Nintendo does not conform to USB-C standard. So what happens is the third party dock (which gets DC current from power adapter, doesn't matter original or not) supplies power via USB-C to the Switch. Since the Switch doesn't conform to USB-C standard, there may be a break down in communication between (the chip inside) the dock and (the chip inside) the Switch, resulting in the Switch not stopping the power intake when it should. This causes the power chip inside the Switch to fry.

Sure, some people may be using the original power adapter with third party dock and nothing happens, but that doesn't mean it is safe and definitely won't brick the Switch. Using third party dock doesn't 100% brick the Switch anyway, but it doesn't mean there is 0% chance. Just see heng suai one, depends whether you want to take the risk.

What i got is: usb-c is complicated technology. And not all 3rd party cable is good, worst will damage ur gadget.

Just look for chargers that support USB-C PD (Power Delivery), eg. Apple MBP 2017/18 chargers, Anker, Ravpower and such.

Cable wise, either u get cheap usb-c to usb-c cables from Ugreen or get the Xiaomi micro-USB to usb-c adaptors.

I've using PD devices since 2016.

As for now planning to download some free game before buying from eshop(*got physical Zelda and Mario Odyssey.

Bro, can share the USB C extender that you are using now? Where did you get it from?

Order 1 from Taobao.
3rd Gen extender which supposed to be easier to slot in from the top and cable coming out at the side for easier connection to Switch.
Took a bundle deal to add a nice stand for Switch to sit on so wont block the heat vent.
