i think it's safe to assume those Kickstarter projects won't be on Switch.

Kinda true.

A good portion of the Nindie titles were part of Steam's Early Access, some were also ex-Kickstarters :)

And while there certainly won't be KS alphas etc on the Switch, I am sure Nintendo would do their share of filtering the developed indie titles for the Switch. It certainly won't stop devs from promoting their games via Kickstarters for the Switch and that is a good thing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_Switch_games

There are currently 99 games on this list. Below is an exclusivity breakdown as of February 2017:

Exclusive = 18
Nintendo exclusive = 4
Multiplatform = 68
Exclusivity unknown = 8

"exclusive" means only on switch, "nintendo exclusive" means exclusive on nintendo platforms but could be also on 3ds, wii u etc.

Some exclusives listed are unannounced, just assumed to be coming, like "untitled pokemon game".

i don't think anyone buy a nintendo hardware will expect it to have major 3rd party support. Some 3rd party will throw it a bone here and there but it's not going to get RDR2, GTA6 or the next Doom.

When i buy a Nintendo hardware, it will be for mario, zelda, metroid.

if you go in switch and thinking you will get Mass Effect or prey, be prepare to be disappointed.

Everyone, please keep your expectations in check.

Actually I will be super happy if they can make use of the portability of the console and have the same support like the 3DS game library. The 3DS is one hell of a system for all kinds of gaming. If they can just follow in that footsteps I think it will be great!

Don't worry, you will surely see tons of indie mobile games quickly ported over to the Switch, playable only in portable mode cos that's how they are played on mobile phones, complete with virtual gamepad instead of using real controllers.

As for actually creative use of unique 3DS (or even Wii U) type of portable features... well they are still going to make 3DS :)
