Some retailers quoted $699 and $749... so ex lol
the quotes are from where de?

so far no news from Qisahn yet.

to put things into context and best case scenario, if the price is 699.

699SGD - 139SGD (bundle) = 560SGD
300USD = 425SGD

so we have to cough out 135SGD extra? lol

Add GST will be about $460 so $100 for warranty. Trying to make myself feel better :s13:

Someone on that reddit thread mentioned.

USD$300 for console translates to about SGD$455 GST inclusive.
USD$50 + 60 for the 2 games translates to about SGD$167 GST inclusive

The extra we're paying is about $80 more than what you'll pay in US

Even if you ignore the extra 135SGD (560-425), the problem is that you are paying 139SGD for Zelda (cos the 1-2-switch is worth 0SGD to most ppl, as any tech demo should).

A bigger problem is, so you spend all these extra money to buy it day 1, play Zelda and complete it in a week (or a month if you play slowly and 100%)... then what? It goes back into the box and gets stored away for 6 months or more till something good comes up. Or you end up buying at full price some games that you normally wouldn't touch, games that are not worth their price tag (like 1-2-switch, or overpriced ports from better platforms). It's basically the original Wii scenario again (and repeated with Wii Fit).

Oh well, i think I was too late when i was your post. Hope there will be a 3rd wave for preorder. Gonna boycott Singapore launch and order from Japan instead!

Hopefully you managed to get one. Basically just input your Singapore address. They ship this globally.
