Coins are not tied to NNID. Its just tied to your Nintendo account. Been purchasing digital games and earning coins from different regions with 1 account

Weird because I can't claim coin from my Setsuna, which is a Japanese physical copy.
That's why I thought coin is tied to NNID.

Physical and digital games coins same or different? Which more?

Digital will give more for the same dollar purchase.
Honestly though, coins are not very useful imo. They usually give 30% discount, but from what I usually see at any time there are only 2 games for you to choose.
