The New York-based Nintendo store Twitter account announced that a “limited quantity” of preorders for the new console will be available this Friday, January 13th at 9AM ET at the Nintendo World NY location.

Given the huge level of anticipation for the Switch, and recent supply problems with the NES Classic, it’s reasonable to assume that the Switch will probably be extremely difficult to buy for some time. So if you’re looking to be one of the first to get Nintendo’s newest console, you might want to start lining up now. In any event, it’s likely that the supply will not last long for preorders on Friday.

If this is the price, it would be good haha. Cos' I remember it was mentioned that they are using "industry leading" technology, hence my guess on the steeper price. IGN editors also predicted slightly steeper prices. See how la this Friday...haha.

Exactly, it's a hybrid - Handheld & Console. Not surprising to expect steeper price since they are using higher tech.

They won't jiak sai la, they may just lose you as a customer haha.

not even 50% bigger. Switch screen is 6.2" vs 3DS XL 4.88". You think ipad meh lol.

Its bigger than iphone 7+ and PS vita tho.

Same screen size as Wii U gamepad. Use that as a guage. Should be smaller in all dimensions.

US$249 for the console alone would make sense, it cant be more ex than the current offerings for PS4 and XB1:
- PS4 slim 500GB + uncharted 4 only US$299, now discount US$269
- XB1S 500GB + fifa17 only US$299

If the price US$299 or above, who will buy sia. Somemore is nintendo, 3rd party (western) support almost non-existent, likely to have less than 10 games this year.

will be enough if they bomb tomorrow's presentation.

anyways sure a lot of people will be turned off by the expected low specs. gamers are trained to follow the numbers. then we (i mean i) got chance to get one.

i don't really care much. as long as i have got access to Virtual Console. Can play Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3(6).

My feel is that tmr is just to iron out any last min feedback and from than onwards is full steam production all the way until March 17 launch.

There's also a possibility that most of the shipping is already done and ready for sale. The pre order is just to gauge the demand.

My prediction is 249 or 299 USD. Given the k1 tablet sold for 199. Anything more and it stands to lose its value, given its definitely not gonna make the pure gfx spec of the other consoles.

From the portable aspect this is exciting, console wise.. more like a stopgap I feel. Perhaps in the next generation of nvidia chips can we truly see a match.

Hope they got some blockbuster games tmr. #hype

They didn't do anything special at E3 2013, only cause Microsoft screwed up spectacularly the day before, they just have to appear as the good guys: can play used games, price $100 cheaper, no always online requirement.
