is the physical copy of the game tie to region? i know DLC yes... but physical game shouldn't right? only language difference i reckon

They are I believe.

If you remember the code of Zelda for US is LA-H-AAAAA USA while on the Singapore box it's it's different. It's HAC-P-AAAAA MSE

Then there were reports that a game could only use DLCs bought from the same region eshop.

I think the US DLC shld work with the Singapore cartridge.

MSE vs USA... I won't be so optimistic about that until someone actually tries it. Caveat Emptor.

Although on 3DS it does work the way you claim it to be.

As officially listed in the 3DS Region Settings, The U region works as the Americas/Asia region, specifically in these countries:
Singapore

I am looking at qisahn process.

Quite slow actually. They are promoting people to buy screen protector

If purchased, they have to give back the change.
The plastic bag they used also can barely contain everything.

If I paid for the bundle I would expect touch and go one.

thought its just region markings? i mean... i don believe they amend every game differently on the software level just for the physical game to be mapped to different region.

more likely they will detect your user account from which region and tied it to the physical game (might be different if your game is japanese exclusive)

There’s some catches though:
  • DLC is still tied to the region you bought the game from;
  • some credit cards may not work in a given region;
  • you can, in theory, change the region of your Nintendo account, but then, you have to give up the funds tied to it when switching.

Wow, I can't believe it, this is a new era for Nintendo, truly Region free!

I just tested it and my Singapore Credit card works on the Japanese app store. Some Japanese games like Disgaea 5 have complete english support and you can buy the games directly from any region's store you want with any credit card (Up to you to calculate which ones are the cheapest)

All you need to do is to create a Japanese nintendo account, no need for address or anything. Just need a unique email.

You can easily check which games have full english support : Head to https://www.nintendo.co.jp/software/switch/index.html, it consists of all the games that are released on jp eshop.
Click on any game that fancy you, and within its page look for 対応言語. There you will see which language the game supports. 日本語 = Japanese, 英語 = English.

You can play the game with any nintendo account created on the system. Happy gaming guys!

Can you still access US account if you use japanese account?

Do you need to create a new one if you wan to access multiple account? And if you change account does the game still exist?

If i buy the switch set in japan and the Zelda game itself from local singapore, it should work right? Even the DLC should be okay?

If you get prompted for update when loading BoTW, your will be fine with DLC. That update is for DLC.
