You want stability with fuel cost savings you should choose Toyota hybrids.

Toyota's hybrid systems are already mature as bugs have been solved over the years.

Nissan's e-Power is still in developmental stage. Current buyers are simply beta testing for the company.

Somemore they retrenching staff like siao due to financial problems... dunno whether they got the manpower and resources to fix the problems or not.

If Honda and Mitsubishi have seen their finances and reject, it must be really bad.

It may be better to let Nissan collapse and buy over their assets at low prices.

you pump the petrol for the built-in generator, then it is charging the battery to power the EV motor.

sounds good on paper but is it good for the environment?

Their epower has here for donkey years .....it sounds nice but it's just another hybrid car, nothing special to stand out from its peers.....

If it has a charging port to charge like an EV... maybe still make sense... as in can drive and charge like EV... and at the same time still can rely on petrol in case no charging station around... dual function... to stand out against competitor... can satisfy both EV and battery anxious users...

Now is neither here or there...
