Anyone with the issue above?
I’ve no issues getting 5GHz signal on my iPad 2017 and iphone se from my bedroom (4m away?) but the iPhone X just couldn’t capture ANY signal...

Was this close to changing my router, thinking it’s faulty!

I got some minor issues with 5Ghz bands with distance too, I don't think it's just you then.

encountering same issue with ipad/macbook/iphones always preferred connecting to 2.4ghz although our router at home got both 5 and 2.4.

I was quite annoyed with this but seems no options to select unless I purposely disabled 2.4

5GHz is never great with distance esp through our HDB walls. The iPad antenna is way larger than the iPhone and certainly can put more power into it so I'll not be surprised.

Actually, I had issues on 5ghz band although the router was in my room less than 1m away. But after updating iOS, I didn’t have this issue. I was on the 6s previously and didn’t have such issues. I think it’s iOS which is full of bugs these days compared to the past.
