maybe its just the cable loose? check and see.
you can try to put the hdd into an external enclosure and connect to another computer to read it.

try booting your other comp using linux OS and try again, if still cannot work and your document is important, send for data retrieval service but prepare to pay a sum of money

do u have a pc? if u pluck out that hdd and slap it into your pc to backup ur data

Tried.
desktop never detect the hdd too

Laptop right?
First thing, is there any clicking sound from the HDD?
If there is, the HDD is died.
If you have already tried on another PC but HDD still
isn't working.
Either bring it to a shop or look for someone like myself
whether can I help you or not.
However please take note that there's no 100%
guarantee whether can it be recovered or not.

den mostly either the MBR is spoil or your hdd chip is spoil (can check if any physical dmg?). chip replacement i dunno where u can get exact same chip.

edit: is your PC on ACHI mode?
