Scolded by public, fined by garment and next parliament setting ask how come TFR even lower
Fine? That’s a bit extreme. Taking away the smartphone from children is not easy, after that the parents have to keep them occupied with other stuff. Causing mental strain on parents. Moderation is still the golden key.

Guide here guide there , who enforce ?

Lao pei lao bu go work to sappork family , chewren at home sure on screen 24 / 7
The whole point is whoever is the caretaker need to enforce lor, be it grandparents or sth. If grandparents cannot enforce then the choice of caretaker itself already wrong.

Children care sometime is the best way going forth, esp when young parents know their parents will dote on grandkids exceedingly. Best to prevent grandparents from taking care of your kid. It's not cruel but it's for the sake of the child.

This is junk advice.

By watching tv while eating, we don't need to dedicate additional time to watch tv.

Eating and watching tv are 2 activities that can be absolutely carried out simultaneously, without conflict of interest.

Made love and watch tv also can carried out simultaneously.

some kids will not eat if they don't watch iPad during lunch

If parents set an example and enforce no screen time while eating, the kiddos will know that's the rule in the family.

I have friends who have carried this out successfully with their kiddos. One couple have a floor to ceiling bookshelf full of books at home. Their 2 kids prefer reading a physical book to holding a smartphone. Both are in secondary school now.

Addiction to technology is no joke and it starts young. Research has already shown that exposing infants and toddlers to tablets and smartphones at a very young age will change the wiring of the brain.

The images and fast animation may cause attention issues later. And if the adults use these gadgets as a baby sitter most of the time, it will affect the child's communication and social skills. Young children need two way communication to develop language and social skills. When we talk f2f, we use gestures, tone, facial and body language to communicate and all these are important in developing language and social skills.

Long term, unsupervised usage of tech gadgets can lead to addiction, akin to drug addiction.

My spouse used to work as a school counsellor, he had seen many cases of teens with tech addiction. The teens will refuse to go to school and hit their parents when the parents attempt to remove the gadgets. And it all started from young. By the time they reach puberty, the brain has been addicted.

So it is no laughing matter. The founders who invented these gadgets don't allow their own children to use them unsupervised. These gadgets are worse than the olden days TV because we can bring them along wherever we go!

Many countries have started looking into this modern day issue because of the severe repercussions on society. It is difficult to ban them altogether for kids and teens due to the implementation issue, hence govt can only give guidelines and hope the more enlightened parents will take these guidelines seriously.

Seems like our gahmen like to butt into the affairs of everyday life of the common folks all the time always tell you guideline this , guideline that or this cannot and that cannot.

Might as well say because of falling birth rate next time also issue guidelines on how to pika too?

Also, gahmen guideline.
