If you already past 40, not officer, you are out of the system liao. Even during war, they will not call you.

But if you are under 40, example 37, already MR, will still liable for call up when country is in crisis. That's why it's called Mindef Reserve. After 40 is totally won't call at all.

I don't wish to create another thread but i am deeply curious as to where is 121 C4I Battalion. I got that as my new unit. I ORD-ed 9 months ago. Anyone familiar with that unit?

Oh really?

So if I kept singapore one and gave up British but still stayed in UK i dont need reservist?

Can you please don't listen to his crap? You will need an exit permit valid for then 1 year to stay free of reservist regardless of studies or for work. Just staying in UK won't get you out of reservist.

And they won't be giving you long term permit, just a few years at every one time subjected to approval.

Regardless where you stay, if you do not have valid reasons either work or studies, MINDEF will still call you up for reservist.

Haha. Whether crap or not is in my opinion, your opinion.

No doubt all those steps you mentioned are definitely the necessary procedure one needs to take if one chooses to live overseas and not wanting to fly back to Singapore just for reservists.

But this does not discount the (in my opinion) the reality that if you have all the necessary approvals, one would not have to go for reservists if they are overseas.

I don't think the same can be said for those who are living in Singapore.

Aiyah reddevil, please stop misleading people with your half true statements or credit claiming disapproving statements.

I am sick of it. Either you contribute what you really know and shut up or you don't.

Have you even seen people who their stuffs go around disapproving just to claim credit for themselves? Go look at post from mgx-alander and some others, obvious between empty vessels and people who knows.

I am sorry for your plight if you really need to do that just to seek attention that you are the better one.

Oh really, why don't you disprove me to enlighten me? I am always willing to be enlighten. It's better than being kept in the dark.

It's definitely your prerogative to be sick of it. It's also definitely your opinion on whether I am contributing or not. At the same time can you actually deny that I have the prerogative to decide what my opinion is about your statements? :s8:

I am not sure whether I have see it before, BUT it's your opinion that I am claiming credit for myself, but I definitely dare say that if I find a statement that I am doubtful of, I definitely have to right to cast doubts on it, ain't I right? Do you think that I do not have the right to cast doubts on your statements or do you actually living in your own world that what you say are gospel truth? I wouldn't deny that what other people say are informative. I also do not cast doubts on whatever they say for sake of doing so. Unless of course (for e.g.) statements made by anyone have doubtful information, I would cast doubts about it and it's their prerogative to clarify and justify their views. If one ain't willing to take into consideration the views of others, I am afraid one might be living in their small small world.

Don't have to be sorry for me. But I might be sorry for you.

How long are you on excuse boots? If it is for long term due to medical reasons, they should have down PES and re-vocate you to somewhere suitable.

If it is for short term, I doubt that you will be excused from reservists unless you keep on extending your excuse boots.
