Thank you for the informative review.

It is disappointing that 8110 is missing a default screen protector sheet.

I am also curious, can I just use SIM2 Nano SIM slot purely as my main SIM on 8110?
Yes. I also have a 8110 4G & I am using the secondary Nano-SIM slot as my main & only SIM. =)

Nokia 8110 4G primary sim 2G secondary sim
and also +microsd slot

Ah, so the nano SIM slot can only support 2G? I expected it to at least support 3G. Hmm...

Hmm... My nano SIM is from my iphone. Can you get 3G service via your secondary nano-SIM slot?

If Google Pixel 3 series were to get the SD710 midranger, the HMD Global's SD710 will probably get almost the same support as that phone.

Which means the Nokia Phoenix will get longer software update (despite it being Android One) than the Google Bonito (which is Google's own lineup)?

I remember reading that software updates at most 2 years, security updates 3 years.

I went ahead to buy the Nokia 8110 anyway and tested the SIM 2 slot.

To my delight, SIM 2's nano-SIM can become a primary SIM slot and it actually supports LTE!

The disclaimer on the box put up by IMDA misled potential buyers looking for a secondary feature phone from a reputable brand like Nokia.

After using the Nokia 7 Plus for weeks, what are your thoughts about the handset? Any feedback is welcomed.

I'm planning to get it, but I'm torn between Mi8 SE (lack of NFC but faster chip) and Nokia 7 Plus still. :s22:

Basically N7+ a fine phone, nothing to boast about, just like what HMD Nokia claims: - A phone you can rely on :)

Anyway, if u don't mind the absence of LED notification + lack of accessories (SP and cases etc), for me it will last at least 2 yrs.

I see. What about the battery life? And the SoT? :)

Nokie 7 Plus works great for me. I came from Lumia phones so the lack of notification LED doesn't bother me. The only thing I still want is the double tap to lock/sleep function..

The phone is very zippy on Android One and further OS/software optimizations help a lot. I don't game or watch videos on my phone - charging it every 3 days and its rarely below 40% when I do so.

No problem with accessories - there's quite a variety to choose from online.

Some say the music audio isn't good but I use VLC, tweak the equalizer therein and pair it with a good IEM, sounds pretty awesome to me :)

Stock Android doesn't have the DBL tap to sleep mode. But there could be apps that use the proximity sensor to do wake/sleep too. Will use some battery but the impact should be ok.

The Google Play Music app sounds bad then... No controls over anything lol

Do the phone stutter when switching apps? Saw a lot of reviewers saying that though...

The Nokia 6 (also on Android One) got the DBL. So I'm hoping it will come to the 7+ at some point. I don't want to install other apps for this. I'm very particular about app installations. Lots of badly written/coded ones out there that messes up the phone.

I haven't seem mine stutter. YET. lol

Are you referring to the lack of equalizer? Google Play Music does have it. Just that I prefer using VLC as my default media player.
