Yup scirocco is thier flagship this year. But the specs doesn't appealing. Would rather go for 7plus when you compare both of them. Price wise 7plus is slightly cheaper i guess.

Same thoughts. And their flagship has the 3.5mm jack removed. Not a fan of wireless headphones. 7+ looks much better too imo especially with the white + gold combination. But the protruding camera bump may be vulnerable to scratches.

M.Fisher did a review of the phone. And he mentioned about the curves sides of the phone may not be easy to hold onto.

Surprisingly 7+ already running Oreo 8.1 as seen from this video.

BTW, may I ask what's this square looking icon? I do see it sometimes on my A1 too.

Yeah that edge is turned off. Especially with no 3.5mm jack. Doubt ppl will go for scirocco this year. With 2017 SD also.

Yeah i love the combination as well for the Black, the protruding camera bump remind me of moto z. Prone to scratches
:(

Wow 8.1 on 7+? Ffs our mi a1 still sleeping. Sian zzz. Suan la. Gonna spend abit for nokia 7+ . Thier support on software is great wor. Nokia 3 got new O. And while us...still living with pain. Lol

Exciting for 7+.... much more exciting than S9 surprisingly at least for me. hahahaha..... Hope that the 7+ camera will be better, especially it allow Pro mode. A1 on the other hand, the camera sigh..... In fact, looking at the front of the phone reminds me of windows phone, with the Lumia camera. :s13::s13: Can't decide between the black or white one..... still no release dates right?

I'm not using 2nd SIM, only the SD card on my A1. Strange. Not always there but sometimes it will appear after a reboot.

Maybe it's detecting the SIM. I've encountered it for my Motorola phones. Strangely, Nokia doesn't have the issue.

I was focusing on Nokia 6 2018 before MWC, but the new Nokia 7 Plus made me changed the attention after the official launch. I don't mind paying more for the 7 Plus for the more powerful hardware.

I know Galaxy S9, Xperia XZ2, Zenfone 5Z and Nokia 8 Sorocco are all much more powerful, but all are very expensive, and given the performance of SD6xx line is quite good now (since SD625/650), may as well save the money and get the midrange lineup.

And oh, HMD Global really delivers Android Oreo to all their 2017 devices, even the low-end Nokia 2 & 3. That's mind-blowing, especially when they are able to deliver it to even the MTK powered devices.

Also, it's not like midrange will only get up to 18 months of software updates. They guaranteed all Android One devices (Nokia 3 and above) will get at least 24 months of software updates. That's way better than industry average!

Actually all these mid-range phones have pretty good performances. For example when installing apps from Google Play. My V20 is so much slower during installation. The A1 installing apps like a breeze. Opening or switching between apps are also much quicker. Perhaps its due to the OEM heavily custom rom, but TBH these mid-range models don't feel mid-range performance at all. :s13:

I've seen the Mi A1 and can see it's quite decent in performance. I would expect Nokia 6 (2018) to be on par or slightly better, and Nokia 7 plus to be even better.

That's why I held back on purchasing the Nokia 8 (2017); it is also not cheap on handset contract too. :s22:

I don't think we will get to hear them...

Samsung and iPhone still dominate our local market.
It's fine. We shall be the first few to blast the Nokia tones. Hahahahahhaha

Then in the future lets see if the Big Boss is back after nearly a decade of weakness. ;):D

Looking forward to 7 Plus, gonna replace my laggy Huawei GR5 I got when my Nexus 5X died. And yes I can't wait to set my ringtone to the Nokia tune lol. Almost got Mi A1 but I'm glad I stuck it out. 24 months of prompt updates!!
