my dad he just needs a simple setup for surfing the net. integrated graphics is enough ya?

i don't have a budget really. as cheap as possible would be great

Any modern day intel CPU with HD 3000 or 4000 integrated gfx is okay.

Integrated graphic is good enough. Does he need OS, monitor, kb, mouse and wifi adapter?

as cheap as possible? scrap windows os and get a linux distro, save that ~$100. Since just for web surfing, shouldn't be too difficult.

agreed. running ubuntu on my old laptop and it is so much faster than running on xp

hey guys sorry my dad delayed his purchase until this week. may i have updated rig recommendations? any changes i should make?

Guess the only change would be to drop Windows, go for linux, though you'd have to teach him how to use it, although not much difference from windows.

You just need to do the regluar updates for him, if he doesn't know how to.
