Hi Guys,

Planning to get a NVidia 640GT from sim lim.
Shortlisted 2 cards :

1) Asus 640GT (Single Fan)
2) MSI 640GT OC (Dual fan)

Question is, are the fans pulling air in and pushing hot air at the rear of the case or the fans are pulling the heat and pushing out via the fans?

Thanks.

If you want low-end get HD7750. nVidia's low end is utter rubbish at its current prices.

No gaming. Just to play back blu ray and drive my Dell 30" U3011.

And NVidia works out of the box for mac setup. That's why.

If you just want to play back videos can just buy a cheap gpu like a gt 610. You have no need for a 640

610/620 fans all looked small and worried about heat inside a tight casing and 650 is abit long i think.

Card length must be < 200mm

Watching videos wun even create a lot of heat on ur gpu.

I believe those low end cards are quite small, sure to be within 200mm. Unless your case die die only give u 200mm allowance.

Does the fans intake the air or expels hot air out on those graphic card?

Come to think of it, you dont even need a GPU to output your bluray playback.

IGPU is enough. And furthermore bluray playback is mostly 1080p or 720p. This is not gonna look nice on a 1600p monitor playback.

*faints* A workstation/heavy gaming setup with a weak GPU.
Get a GTX650 at least. The Palit one is quite short.
