For me, I completely drain and recharge back to full once a mth and that's gd enough...keeps yr phone's batt healthy and I also do the same for my iPad mini and MBP.

Battery and Battery Indicators are two different things.

The battery is a hardware while the battery indicator is a software. The battery indicator can only provide an estimate of the current battery level. Calibration does not extend your battery life, what it does is to correctly let the operating system (iPhone) more correctly show you how much battery life you have remaining.

The iPhone and in fact a vast majority of other rechargeable battery operated products like Android mobile phones or even laptops runs on lithium-based technology batteries. They do not have the memory effect that is observed in the older generation of nickel cadmium and nickel–metal hydride batteries.

Users should not constantly deplete their lithium based batteries before charging them because this would shorten the lifespan of the batteries. The number 1 cause of shorten battery life in lithium based batteries isn't usage but heat and heat is produced when you charge or use your device. Hence you should charge as often as and when possible to reduce the charging times.

Of course these are only a few factors to list...

Old phone like 3gs and ip4 after 2 to 3 years of running, 2 things need to be changes either the screen or batt, i change both for my ip4 after 2.5 years of running due to wear and tear

I do not have time to make sure my phone is 100% discharge and so on, work is so busy where to find time and energy to do in a timely discipline manner...

Changing batt is very easy, get a batt from ebay change it.. cost is blow 20

Just make sure you use official and Apple approved chargers to charge your iPhones. Correct voltage is very important.

I don't see how it could since the circuitry controls how much power it needs to consume to charge the battery.

You could use a 10a charger but the iPhone would only take the specific ampere (1 or 1.5a) out for it's charging usage.
