Northern Kyushu recommendations

Hi all.
I will be heading to Kyushu in May and will be renting a car there.
Tentative plan is :

1n Yufuin
1n Beppu
1n Aso (Mount Aso and Takachiho gorge)
1n Kumamoto
2n Nagasaki (day trip to Saga?)
2n Fukuoka (day trip to Dazaifu?)

its my first time visiting Kyushu.
do you think this arrangement is a bit of a rush?
what do you think of the day trips from Nagasaki and Fukuoka or are there some better alternatives?

Yufuin and Beppu are very close so perhaps no need to change accommodation in that area.

maybe u like to put 2n Aso? Kumamoto just a city so not much to do.
