Can largely forget about getting substantial discount from IT show or even availability.

Lazada's Birthday Bash on 21st March maybe a much better option...

Do research on individual components in lazada sold by reputable sellers.

Go to wogi.com and pre purchase the vouchers at 20% off. Make sure voucher value is lower than item value else the leftovers will be eaten up. Once lazada bdae is here, use the codes individually per order.

Also about IT show, do they sell components there as well? My stepdad brought me here to SG basically because of that.

IT Show is like a mass market for shops to sell old stuff at full price. You *may* get good deals on LCD TVs though.

But for PC parts? No, forget it. Go to Sim Lim Square, head STRAIGHT to the 4th floor (aside from Xtreme Solutions on the 2nd floor, they'll all try to cheat tourists) and buy from PC Themes, Fuwell and Cybermind.

Thanks! I've been seeing wogi around the forums and getting confused what people talk about.

I don't see tradepac. I'm checking their list and they're quite cheaper. Are they bad?

Don't have too high hopes for it show. Mostly better for laptops and pre built coz easier to see the difference as many vendors are around. Not so good deal for pc parts though. Better deal at SLS shops or online like lazada and qoo10.

I just installed qoo10 and got some cart off voucher but navigating it is confusing and disorganized 😐

Plus some parts shipped from overseas like wtf.

Usually you cannot get the price stated on their pricelist if you're purchasing single item (most price are for full system, they might quote you more than other store), you can try if your bargaining skill is good. :s12:

You need to be very good at specs, prices and alternatives. They might change your spec if they have issue securing certain models you wanted. Be insistent to what you want, then bargain the prices down.

To save the hassle, just go PC Theme. They are honest, prices not the cheapest, at least they won't cheat you.

Qoo10 don't scroll too far. Usually the top few are local stock and reputable seller. See the rating and feedback to see. Not the cheapest price either but stack well if you have good coupons. I'd suggest you get from lazada for gpu. Save the hassle, delivery pretty fast too. Let us know which one you getting, we can help you determine seller is legit or not. Stack with the credit card coupon codes on certain day of purchase of the week. Standard Charted card on Wed is the best. $30 off $250 worth of purchase, just nice for gtx 1060 price range. Other days only 8% off, capped at $15 IIRC.
