Hi guys, alright i actually had a note 2 in november but traded with another guy with an iphone 5. And i remembered that my phone could last one whole day with moderate usage.
Now i traded the iphone 5 with another guy, and i realised that the battery was actually a replacement battery for n7100(written on the battery). i didnt think too much of it because he said he lost the original one.

So i charged it up and used it today and was shocked at the battery life. what i did from the morning was that i read through twitter, and watched some youtube videos. and in 5 hours my battery became around 20+ percent.

And when i charged it it took like super fast. i think it was like 20-30 percent in half an hour. i think it charged even more.

So i was wondering if its the phone itself or the battery problem?

i put the battery in my fathers note 2, and when i charged it, it was not taking as fast as when it was put in my phone.

Need your help guys

If the battery is a 3rd party one and not the original Samsung battery, then the battery life will probably be bad. Have bad battery life from these battery replacement, but then at $10 or less a piece, you have nothing to complain about.

I suggest you go buy an original battery and you will see that the battery life will be better.

Another thing to note is that a rouge program could be running in the background leeching battery life. If possible flash a new rom and see if that helps.

all these fake batteries, you can't trust the rating of the battery. haha my suggestion is either get the original one which will cost a bomb or get the Anker batteries from one of the bros here on MO forum. Heard good stuff about it.

Planning to get them but then I shall wait awhile more, since my one charge can last a day

Some of the oem are actually quite good. I got one for my note 1 and it works like the original. Anyway if you want, maybe get the battery kit for $68 and comes with a external charger. At least you can use external battery charger to check the third battery and can use it for emergency.

Buying an oem from those online shop may be cheap. But nevertheless its a luck game.

Some of the oem are good. Some are not. Thats for sure as there was one time that i play around with batteries for my blackberry days in army.

Bought 3 batteries from the same seller. 3 of them have different ratings. One doesnt last 4hrs. The other one is average a day. And the other is decent battery life.

Btw TS the person you trade with the battery is definitely fake. An original note 2 battery capacity is 3100mAh. Not 3500mAh.

I agree. There are some 3rd party batteries which may perform on par with the original Samsung battery. I bought Anker batteries for my sister and the feedback seems to be good.

I have also bought some cheap ones and even though the capacity stated is larger, it performs poorly.
