Note 3 Mp3 Image Tag Problem

Hi all,

Not sure am I only one have this problem. Let say I have mp3 songs with image tag of the singers. Everything look fine on my PC, then I copy over to the Note 3 SD card.

Using my note 3 in music player or file folder, some of the image tag is incorrect, for example Will Smith photo appear in many of the chinese song or song which is not belong to him.

I copy the same file back to my PC, the image tag is correct.

I try delete the ones on the sd card and copy again from my pc, still the same probvlem.

Any ideas?

Just throwing out a wild guess here. Go to your application manager and clear data for Media Storage, then restart your phone. Let your phone do a media scan and hopefully the correct album art will be displayed.

I try 2 of the above, I give up, it mess up my mp3 more.
Hope there will be some updates for note 3.

I don't recall encountering this issue in the past. How are you handling album art? Are they embedded in the mp3s themselves, or are you putting the album art in the same folder as the mp3?

I typically use MP3Tag (Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)) to embed the art in my mp3s. Maybe you can use it to delete the existing album art and add a new one.

It's probably a problem with the IDtag version, I'm not seeing any problems with mine.

Hi all,

I send one affected mp3 via bluetooth to my friend's S4, it shows the correct album art.

A friend of mine have this issue and he resolved it by doing the following. U can try this.

1) Connect phone to computer and enable windows to see hidden files. (Control Panel | Folder Options | Views | Show hidden folders, files and drives

2) Check your music folder on your SD Card to see is there a hidden file called folder.jpg.

3) If yes, delete it.

4) Delete all other hidden files too.

5) Force your music apps to reload all music files.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I have tried every single one. Still the same problem. It is ok, I can bear with it till the next sw update from samsung.
