the only time i bought from samsung stores was last year when note 2 launched and islandwide no store (other retailers)

no choice have to pay 1k for titanium grey lol.

Note 2 was different as Samsung didn't have enough stocks to cater to the demand. Look at Note 3 now, all telcos still have stocks for both colours, including the shops.

I have some vouchers with Capital Mall. Is there shop recommended for good price and service , that also belong to Capital Mall group of shopping centres?

eg Ion, Funan, Raffles City, The Atrium, Junction 8 etc
Suggest use the voucher for cold storage. For hp stuff better get from the regular shops here for better pricing. If u wanna use for camera,tk photo at funan is pretty good.

It's good that those shops like MS, Kasia, Red White can sell the phones at such low prices however, is the local warranty really valid? Coz I have some bad experiences with MS and Sony Mobile Singapore due to warranty issues.
care to share the experience?

Pardon me for asking a noob qn.... how come retail shops like kasia or redwhitemobile can sell note 3 at range < 900 while samsung sgp sells at 1098? The sets sold by the retail shops are new sets and genuine? What to check for when buying from these shops?
So far no issues brought up at this forum as far as I can see. Just do the usual checks for sealed box, matching imei and serial number, cosmetic defects, warranty card from Samsung singapore etc.

of course no penalty fee as your contract ended. so you are not bounded by any contract, so why will there be any penalty fee? :s12:

its the same everywhere. if u buy a sony tv from the sony shop, always more expensive than electronic stores like best denki, courts etc. those electronic stores always got offers and discounts and warranty still valid.

same for mobile phones. Samsung store always sell the phones tagged to the RRP.

Thanks for the analogy... but are kasia and rwm in the same league as courts and denki? Sorry, first time buying phone without line.. used to get direct from telco....Am abit skeptical cos hv read news abt ah beng shops passing off preowned sets as new ones...

These shops are registered businesses in Singapore and frequented by many folks here. They are not chain stores like best denki etc so I guess not in the same "league" as you put it. If you want to buy from chain stores then be prepared to pay full rrp 1048.

Oh ya sure.

I bought one Sony Xperia Ion from MS about 1.5 years ago. I have to go to their service center at Bishan J8 due to some issue with my phone. The CSO took my phone and my receipt for checking for about 2 mins and I was told that my phone is not under their official warranty as MS is NOT under their retailer list.

I called up MS the next day and they told me they have settled this issue with Sony Mobile Singapore earlier on. I went back to the service center and everything went smoothly on the same day. I did asked the CSO what is going on and so but her reply was that she wasn't sure about the warranty issue and asked me to contract Sony Mobile Singapore directly.

That is y I have doubts of all those 3rd party shops.

Hmm but the conclusion is MS still recognised as official dealer right?so can't say that there's any issue

I m not sure either so I am a bit concern too.

Anyway I do check for the IDA logo/sticker on the box and the device if the product is official SG products.

Maybe the Sony staff don't know this shop that why they scare receipt maybe fake, but since can repair after that should be no problem :D
