It's not free $. There are 2000 plus handphone shops in Singapore. U think without hardwork one will just step into ur shop and offer u free $? There is free lunch in the world? Why don u teach me how to open a shop and ppl will give u free $ without any hardwork....

Nowadays Telecos really chop carrots. The price for contracted handset is getting higher and lesser benefits. Higher phone price with same monthly subscription fee but lesser free data bundle lol. The new phones keep coming out every month and the market values decrease rapidly however, telecos are still selling their at the original price. Really what a joke.

Eg: Singtel is selling Samsung S4 LTE at $528.00 with $39.90 per month. The current price for Samsung S4 LTE is around $760 without contract. $760 - $528 = $232 and this means the telecos only subsidize ur phone by $232 but u have to tied urself with a 2 year contract.

best way to stop them from keep chopping us as customer, dont change phone!!! but everyone seems so rich and spend ~1k per year for a phone seems ok....then why should telco subsidise anything
