Is that price for local or export set? Where can I get it? Thank you.
Skymobile. Local warranty card.
If i were to buy from these shop, is the warrenty start the day i bought it? Cos i understand alot of people recontract the phone and sell to the shop,so the warrenty usually start the day the person recon etc.
I bought mine from RedWhite mobile at Cathay. The set they sold are NOT those set people bought from telco n sold it to them. The set they sold are true Samsung retail set. It is sealed n open in front of you. There is NO telco bloatware in the phone n it has a Samsung warranty card in it. You can either post the warranty card or register your set online n thus your warranty starts after your bought the set.

I guess when buying from shop, insist on a retail set and not those buy-back set. I told the boss of RedWhite mobile, if I open the set and it has telco bloatware, I will not buy it. He assured me that it will not. If there is bloatware, he will cease the sale too.thanks for the info, cos i do sold sets to shops before when i recon, and its sealed too![]()
so i presume non telco set r better in this sense since no bloatware. but i really there is a code to press to reset the whole phone into factory default, that is without bloatware

I opened the first set and there was a dimple on the sliver rim. He opened another set for me and while I was checking on the second set, he called the supplier to come n collect the set with a dimple on the sliver rim.

what is buy-back set n how to identify?
n what is samsung connections member?
Buyback set (from the shop prospective) = Someone go n re-contract from a telco and get a new phone. Then go to one of the shop n sell it to the shop. The shop then sell you the phone as a new phone.
How to identify = I guess because it is a telco set, you have telco bloatware in it. However, this method of detection is not full proof. I heard M1 stop adding bloatware to their phones.
Samsung Connections = It is a group active forumers that Samsung invited to join the group and I got to add that sentence "--A Samsung connections member" in all my posts. Lol.

Yes, retail set has no bloatware. Yes, you can change the telco CSC to the retail CSC by using a code. But from what I knew not all Samsung phone models accept this code.
Another advantage is the retail set/CSC usually get the Samsung firmware update first as compare to telco set/CSC. Telco like Singtel needs time to incorporate their bloatware into the new version of the firmware.
On the other hands, telco set are subsidized. It is cheaper as it is bundled with your line.
