Until such time that the KNOX counter can be reset to 0 even after flashing, i'm holding my itchy hands not to root.

Will only root and dun care about Knox Warranty flag when the phone warranty is over. That's October 2014.

If XDA found a way to reset the Knox Warranty flag then it is root immediately.

What you say is untrue...
There is root. Just that you sacrifice warranty for it.
