Please read this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/14223/windows-xp-end-of-support

Recently there are quite a lot of ransomware attack, more such attack will be coming again because hacker want to make easy money. It will be better to get the latest Windows 10 version for your own good.

Nope. Else, it is pretty simple to head to any tech retail outlet and copy such keys.

As someone has mentioned, it is an oem key

Laptop use OEM licence key and it is customize by the Manufacturer.
You need to visit the laptop brand Manufacturer to get the original factory OEM software.
Anyway, it is obsolete already, and best use as spare VM.
Laptop original hardware may not be able to support newer OS.:(:s13::s12:

I think he has a new desktop and want to install his old Windows XP license on his new desktop. Even not OEM version also not recommended to use Windows XP as there are no more patches.

If the sticker says OEM, it will not work if you use normal installer

Even Windows 10 first version also no more support. Better upgrade to Windows 10 latest version if hardware is compatible or else change the whole notebook. I change notebook every 3 yrs. I will use secure eraser to clean my data. Then i do restore to factory default. Then sell away.
