My 7 year old notebook finally died and a replacement is needed. Can anyone provide a recommendation with the follwing specifications:

- Must be mainstream Skylake or Broadwell processors. Don't mind considering AMD as well as long as the hardware is current gen.

- Onboard Intel GPU only if Intel based (running a Linux flavor on it). Otherwise any low-power AMD solution should work; it's really just to accelerate the desktop environment, nothing more. No Nvidia.

- 13.3" or below with 1080 resolution

- Notebook chassis can be easily disassembled.

- WiFi card must be M.2 form factor

- No firmware / efi / bios whitelist for wifi cards.

- No PCIe / M2 SSDs. Only traditional SATA HDDs. This laptop will be cloning SVN and Git repos for a few popular OSS software and acting as a mobile VM lab environment.

Budget up to $1800.

bump. Are there really no such notebooks available?

13" with 1080 FHD resolution are usually ultrabooks.
Ultrabooks do not fulfil your SSD requirements. Most ultrabooks cannot be disassembled easily.

Can't think of any that fits in.
If you can take 14" models, there are models to be considered. :)

NO Whitelist, you have to take out Lenovo and HP brands.
Choices are really limited.

If screen goes up to 14", what choices are available?
