Hi all, just purchased 3a pro recently and while in the midst of trying to apply a new screen protector, I wasnt sure if there is pre-installed one there came with the phone cos it was hard to tell by seeing. Contacted the shopee seller regarding this and was advise not to remove the pre-installed one as it may void the warranty.
this was the quote from him:
" removing the pre-installed screen protector on your Nothing Phone (3a) does NOT void the warranty. However, If you remove it and the screen gets scratched/damaged, that’s not covered (unless you bought extra screen protection insurance/coverage)."
IS it wise to replace the protector while still having warranty? mine is a local set with 2 years warranty
A lot of sus points here.
Before buying please check reviews for the specific device online (like YouTube reviews online for specific model), and make sure you buy from Official Shopee Flagship Store run by Official Distributor (EiN which also officially distributes Xiaomi Phones & Home Appliances). ALL Nothing and CMF Phones sold by Official Distributor in SG have a foil sticker on packaging with the EiN Logo that comes with the label "Singapore Official Product" on it as PROOF of it being a legit local set, registered under IMDA's equipment registration system for local Telco use.
Even the warranty period given is sus. AFAIK, officially ONLY TWO Nothing/CMF Products offer 2 years official warranty, and it's via additional extension (Nothing Black Card) here:
- CMF Phone 2 Pro (current price: S$359)
- Nothing Phone (3) (current price: S$1,199)
All other Nothing & CMF Phones distributed here only have 1 year local manufacturer 1-to-1 exchange warranty.
